It’s been over a month since the November 14th evacuation of Barton House. Bristol City Council’s communication has not improved and their plans are still not fully clear.
We now know that the council knew about structural issues at Barton House on Friday November 10th, 4 days before the evacuation and didn’t tell residents. The council now say Barton House may be safe in a couple of months and that residents would then be expected to move back. The council have also continued to charge rent and utility bills during this time. We won’t stand for this.
