ACORN Islington Community Day

Training, Planning, Elections and more!

It's been one year since we launched ACORN in Islington! In that time we've won a number of big cases worth thousands of pounds, stopped several evictions, took part in a campaign that beat a national bank and hosted a brilliant election hustings to hold our representatives to account.

At our next meeting we'll be electing a new committee for the next year, planning outreach and campaings and discussing local issues, doing some training in standing up to powerful landlords, all followed by a social with food and a quiz where we'll get to know our neighbours - everyone (including children!) is very welcome.

The event will run from 12-4, and while elections are only open for members of the union, everyone is welcome to take part in our training and planning sessions - so bring a friend, family membeR or neighbour!
