After we won commitments to end no fault evictions fighting alongside the Renters Reform Coalition, the government has failed to take the action they promised.
The Renters Reform Bill has been called the most important bill for tenants rights in a generation. It could stop unfair evictions, and make more secure tenancies a legal right. But its progress has stalled.
Trade unions have told us that handwritten letters to members of the House of Lords have had a big impact on recent campaigns - so ACORN members across the country are getting together to write letters to support these changes that would have a huge positive impact on renters.
We're meeting at the ACORN Bristol office at Tony Benn House to write the letters together. There will be guidelines and help provided, as well as all the materials you need. If you have experience of private renting, we need you!
Meet 6pm-7pm at Tony Benn House, Victoria Street, BS1 6AY
