Ordinary people in Oxford are being taken for a ride. Housing is shoddy and expensive, and public services are being stripped to the bone. And all while landlords, developers and bosses rake in profits.
But ACORN is fighting back!
On Saturday 17th June at the Cowley Workers Social Club we will be running a community organising training, to skill up Oxford ACORN members in the ACORN organising model, and campaign and action planning.
Everyone is welcome - whether you're a newer or long-term member, we'll be diving deep into the ACORN method of community organising, and honing our practical campaign and action planning skills as well. At ACORN we're serious about building community power to fight back on the issues that matter to us, and this training will provide you with the tools to do just that!
The training will be followed by a social at the venue.
Please note this training is open to members only. If you're not already a member but want to come to this session, get on board and join at acorntheunion.org.uk today!
Please RSVP to this event to help the organisers plan the session. if you require childcare to attend please contact the organiser for Oxford, Naomi, as early as possible on 07762739077 / [email protected]
See you on Saturday 17th June!
