The Cost of Living Crisis is about to get worse! Marvin Rees is moving to cut the council tax benefit, a vital lifeline for 23,000 of the lowest income households in our city.
The mayor has declared war on the poor. The council have themselves admitted that this will disproportionately impact women, BME people, people with disabilities, and carers, but they're still moving ahead.
We're assembling to share stories about how the cost of living crisis is affecting us, to launch this campaign, and to pressure the council to defend this vital lifeline. The fight back starts here!
Meet at 3.15pm outside St Mark's Church, at the bottom of Park Street. The address is: St Mark's Church, College Green, Bristol BS1 5TJ
