ACORN Manchester has been calling for the end of bailiff use in Manchester since August 2022. We've already pushed the council to commit £1 Million extra council tax support, give people more time to pay off their debts and change the letters that go out to people.
But we didn't stop there. We've been able to get the council to look into bringing an end of bailiff use once and for all. They've been doing their research but we want to let them know how people feel about bailiffs. So we've invited them down to present what they're doing for this city to us, the people of Manchester.
If you've had experience with bailiffs, if you think Manchester can be a place of progress and if you want to keep the council accountable. Come to this meeting on 8th January 2024.
This meeting is open to everyone. If you want to start the year right, join us in January.
