Join your local ACORN branch for our November Monthly Members' Meeting and the launch of our new branch campaign - Ban Second Homes! The meeting will take place on Thursday 18th November at the Community Base conference room between 7-9pm.

At our AGM last month, members voted to commence a new branch campaign to pressure councillors to support a motion which will be raised at the full council meeting on December 15th which would trigger a citywide referendum on banning developers from building properties to be sold as second homes.

The issue of new developments being intended primarily for sale as second homes, as well as the increasing number of existing properties being purchased on a buy-to-let basis, is one of a number of reasons why finding a home in Brighton is becoming so difficult and expensive for ordinary people who actually live in the city.

Make sure you're there to ban second homes in Brighton and work towards an affordable Brighton.
