London Science Museum is sponsored by Adani Green Energy, part of the Adani Group - a huge corporate empire based in India owned by one of the richest men in the world, Gautam Adani.

Adani is currently steamrolling ahead with plans to redevelop Dharavi, a huge community of up to 1 million people in Mumbai.

But Adani’s plan for Dharavi isn’t about uplift - it’s about profit - and will see the destruction of a vibrant, resilient community to clear it for luxury towers and shopping centres.

When development is driven by and for billionaires, the poorest pay the price.

Residents are facing:

- Mass eviction, being forced to relocate to an area of dangerous landfill

- No consultation, with their worries ignored by developers

- No ‘right to return,’ no safeguarding of jobs, and most will receive no compensation

Meanwhile, $billions in foreign money continues to pour into Adani, which has been accused of fraud, bribery, environmental destruction and green washing around the world.

Adani continues to legitimise itself and present a positive image to its destructive policies through partnerships and sponsorships such as with the Science Museum.

That’s why community union ACORN is taking part in this international day of action alongside our affiliates all over the world, in solidarity with our members living in Dharavi.

Click here to tell the Science Museum to stop legitimising Adani’s destructive policies and to use their platform to push for a right to return and no forced relocation for Dharavi residents.

What else can I do?
