What is Member Defence?
‘Member defence’ refers to the activity of ACORN members coming together to defend each other: if they are facing eviction, if their Landlord is refusing to carry out repairs to their home, if they are being harassed by their Landlord, or indeed any other issue. ACORN is able to do this because our strength in numbers is greater than our strength as individuals.
What will the training cover?
We will be joined by an ACORN organiser to deliver a training to cover the fundamentals of member defence organising, such as campaign and strategy planning, negotations skills and legal resources to build our ACORN Liverpool Member Defence Team.
